2021/1/12【Latest】For those who are aiming to participate in the World Masters Games 2021 Kansai

It had been approved to postpone the Games for about one year (to hold in 2022) by IMGA (International Masters Games Association), and now it has been officially confirmed that the Games are to be held in May 2022.

Outline of the Games

Name: World Masters Games 2021 Kansai (No change)
Games dates: Friday, 13th May – Sunday, 29th May 2022
Sports and Disciplines: 59 Disciplines of 35 Sports
Target number of participants: Approximately 50,000 participants (30,000 from Japan and 20,000 from outside Japan)

How we will deal with the participants following the postponement

1. Entry to the Games
We will announce the modified Sports Information Guide (Location, Dates and Age categories) as promptly as possible, in order to re-start the entry for the Games. About the age category change for the participants accompanied by the postponement, we will follow the policy of each International Sport Federation.
Spots for those who already made an entry will be secured. As for those who registered to the waiting list, the status remains the same.
When those who already made an entry cancels upon receiving the announcement of the Games dates, we give a refund by deducting 5% handling fee.
2. Volunteer
For those who have already registered as volunteer, we would appreciate if you could continue to cooperate with validity of registration to be extended.
In addition, we will extend the deadline for recruiting new applicants for a certain period of time.
