Eligibility

1. Applicable to all athletes
Minimum age is 30 (born on or before 18th May 1992)
If a participant has an official record in the event(s) entered between 1st January 2019 and 31st December 2021, he/she is requested to enter it.

2. Category of athletes with impairments (Para Events)
Participants in this category must meet any of the following conditions (necessary information must be entered at the time of application for participation).
As a general rule, the entry and classification in the category of athletes with impairments is based on self-declaration.
In addition, participants cannot make any protest concerning the eligibility of entry and the status of classification. participation qualification and classification.
 (1) Domestic participants
  a) The participant must hold the status determined by the National or International Classification.
  b) The participant has a physical impairment certificate or rehabilitation certificate.
 (2) Overseas participants
  a) The participant must hold the status determined by the National or International Classification.
  b) Persons who wish to participate for conditions other than stated at the item a) must state the content of their impairments when applying. The organiser will comprehensively determine whether the condition is satisfied based on the described contents and reply whether their participation is allowed or not.
In addition, It is possible to participate in both the general section and the Category of athletes with impairments, however including the Category of athletes with impairments Domestic participants may participate in up to two individual events and up to two relay events, Overseas participants may participate in up to five individual events and up to two relay events.
 For the same type (example: general category 100m and category of para events 100m), it is scheduled to be held at the same time, so participation is not possible due to competition management.

Age Requirement

The age as of Tuesday 18th May 2022 shall apply.
In line with the sport-specific rules, an athlete must compete in their designated age group, with your age determined as at 18th May 2022 – the first day of Athletics competition at the Games.
For example, if you turn 40 by the first day of competition, you would compete in the 40+ age category.
