Shooting(Clay)

Shooting(Clay)

Sport Overview

In clay shooting, competitors use a shotgun to shoot down targets in the air.
The targets are small unglazed plates known as clays. Events include trapshooting, which involves shooting clays flying in the forward direction, and skeet shooting, which involves shooting clays that come flying from both sides alternately or simultaneously.
Competitors need to hit targets flying at speeds of 22 to 30 metres per second with pellets travelling at 300 metres per second or faster, which requires very quick reflexes and fine movements.
