Sport Overview

Water polo is a ball game played in water between two teams. The court is 30 metres long and 20 metres wide and is built in a pool two or more metres deep. The objective is to score points by throwing the ball into the opponent’s goal. The offence team can hold the ball for 30 seconds; after that, the other team becomes the offence team. A match consists of four periods, each period lasting five minutes.

Eligibility

【Age Requirement】
Minimum age is 30 (born on or before 31 December 1991)
In line with the sport-specific rules, an athlete must compete in their designated age group, with your age determined as at 31 December 2021. For example, if you are 39 during Games time but have turned 40 by 31 December 2021, you would compete in the 40+ age category.
