Postponement has been decided for the World Masters Games 2021 Kansai.

Artistic swimming involves performing various movements to music in a pool. Performances are judged based on execution, synchronicity, composition, artistic quality and expression. Players are given points and ranked according to synchronicity, level of difficulty, technique and performance composition, among other aspects.

* Note
1. Trunk impairment refers to spinal disorders other than cerebral palsy. (Such as scoliosis)
2. Cerebral palsy is an impairment of the brain, such as cerebral palsy, cerebrovascular disorder, brain trauma or others.
3. Hearing and speech impairment includes hearing and equilibrium impairment, vocal and speech impairment, and masticatory impairment.

Eligibility

1. Limited to persons with experience.
2. For safety reasons, swimmers with impairments are recommended to participate in the event of the corresponding category. And, swimmers without impairments are not allowed to participate in the category of swimmers with impairments.
3. Participants from Japan with impairments who wish to participate in the competition should register with the Japan Para Artistic Swimming Association before making an application.
4. Overseas participants with impairments who wish to participate in the competition may have to submit a PDF file of one of the following documents (1) to (3) when applying for participation as needed.
 (1) Certificate issued by a public institution
 (2) Doctor's medical certificate
 (3) Participation certificate issued by the organization the overseas athlete belongs to
5. Athletes with impairments can participate only in the general category, they need to contact event organisers to declare their impairments.
6. In the case that athletes with impairments have a helper, they need to inform that at registration. Furthermore, helpers of athletes with impairment need to wear bib distributed by the organiser on competition days.

Age Requirement

Minimum age is 25 (as at 31st December 2022) (born on or before 31st December 1997)
