World Masters Games 2021 Kansai will be the first World Masters Games to be held in Asia and over a wide area. An important part of the Games is the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Based on the Games theme of "The Blooming of Sport for Life," the ceremonies will aim to show the world Japanese culture and traditions and the best of the Kansai Region. It will be a ceremony for lifetime sports inspiring dreams for the next generation.
From Kyoto, full of Japanese tradition and culture, a wonderful Opening Ceremony befitting the Games is to be held to unite the Kansai Region for these Games to be held over wide area.

Only the Heian Jingu Shrine area will have restricted entry. Since only a limited number of people can enter, entry will be restricted during the Opening Ceremony.
