Sport Overview

Postponement has been decided for the World Masters Games 2021 Kansai.
The new dates are being arranged.
Please note that the followings are the information before the postponement was confirmed.

BMX is short for bicycle motocross. BMX races involve up to eight riders starting simultaneously and competing on an approx. 400m dirt course featuring ups and downs of varying heights. Since BMX helps riders develop basic physical fitness and balance skills and is a sport that the whole family can enjoy, it provides an entry point to other cycling sports.

Eligibility

・To compete in any events in the Cycling competition at the Games, each athlete must hold a valid licence issued by their national federation of member of the Union Cycliste Internationale.
・Exclude the following competitor: UCI ranking holder, at least 1 point. / Member of a team registered with the UCI.
・A ‘Special Event Licence’ will be available for athletes who do not hold an annual cycling licence.
　Athletes can register “Special Event Licence” at the venue with valid identification (i.e., passport, driver's licence).
　This licence is valid only for participating in the World Masters Games 2021 Kansai. The fee for this licence is 1,000 yen.

Age Requirement

Minimum age is 30 (born on or before 31st December 1992)
